Responsibility is doing what you have to do so you can do what you want to do. Work before pay, dinner before dessert and practice before play are all examples of responsible situations. The reverse, however, begets chaos. When you do what you want to do before doing what must be done, you breed selfishness. Things break down, systems degrade and sometimes, others suffer negative consequences when we do whatever we want before we do what’s necessary.

Be responsible…then have fun…in that order.
