Activities surrounding such honors about people in your community generate good media coverage. Why? Because you need the constant support and attention of those in the community, such as business leaders, who can help provide financial support for your project. More importantly, honoring good citizens reinforces the value of what the project contributes to the community and to society at large.

The Citizenship Through Sports Alliance suggests three major activities to help garner excitement and keep the community citizenship project gathering momentum and interest.
